I am a library employee, having worked my entire library career at the Univesity of
Texas at Austin. Most recently, I was working on the paper side of Digitization Services, where I
helped with the ongoing development of the online collection and the UT
Digital Repository.
I've recently relocated
from Austin, Texas to Northern Virginia. It's really exciting to
be near the Smithsonian Institution museums, but very sad to be so far
away from my family, my friends, and all those delicious breakfast
tacos (namely Maria's Taco Xpress and Torchy's).
I have a Bachelor of Fine
Arts in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin, where my
raison d'être was making clay slab sculptures and functional
anthropomorphised pottery. In addition to my interest in clay
work, I enjoy drawing in my sketchbooks and writing and drawing
comics.
Other pastimes I enjoy include baking (typically pies, cookies and breads), grilling, and
fixing broken things.
